Die Cutting
Die Cutting is a method that involves your bespoke component being set into shape on a bladed tool. The tool is then set either on top or underneath the specified material. We then use an array of hydraulic presses, dependant on component size in order to cut out the specific shape.

Silicone Extrusion & Profile Cutting
Extrusion dies are a precise and specific tool to your design. Made by cutting your component in the form of the finished rubber cross section desired through a blank of steel. The material will be forced through this die via the pressure that builds up from the revolving screw of the extruder. Many rubber compounds will tend to swell when passing through the extrusion die, causing them to experience an increase in dimensions. Therefore each die must be made according to each particular part and material to ensure that all tolerances are met for the finished extruded rubber part.

CNC & Co2 Laser Cutting
C&W Seals currently have two CNC lasers in our machine portfolio. Components are cut by generating of the laser beam which involves lasing material by electrical discharges or lamps within a closed container.
C&W Flashcut knife cutting system is perfect for the demanding industries of gasket and polymer cutting. It is specifically engineered for these sectors making it the perfect tool for gasket and seal manufacture.

Moulding
Compression moulding is a method of moulding in which the moulding material, generally preheated, is first placed in an open heated mould cavity. The mould is closed with a top force or bolster plate. Pressure is applied to force the material into contact with all mould areas, while heat and pressure are maintained until the moulding material has cured. The process employs thermosetting resins in a partially cured stage, either in the form of granules, putty-like masses.

Thermoformed Reflectors
We specialise in the manufacture Thermoformed MCPET Reflectors for the lighting industry. Reflectors can be formed in MCPET M4, RB & Polyca varying from 0.5mm to 1mm. MCPET can help dramatically improve your Lumen output and reduce the need to run a higher power source.

3D Printing
3D printing refers to processes in which material is joined or solidified under computer control to create a three-dimensional object. 3D printing is used in both rapid prototyping and additive manufacturing. We are able to turn around prototype samples in line with your deadlines.

Sub-Assembly
This flexible and cost-effective bench top assembly service includes bonding of parts, packing kits and fitting seals into place. We offer this at a competitive labour rate, whilst saving you time and money with assembling parts.

Vacuum Forming
Vacuum forming is a simplified version of thermoforming, where a sheet of plastic is heated to a forming temperature, stretched onto a single-surface mold, and forced against the mold by a vacuum. This process can be used to form plastic like abs and hips plastics, into permanent objects.
